The Philips Highway at Reba Avenue intersection improvements project will enhance pedestrian safety and provide safer traffic operations through the intersection. These improvements include:
- Adding traffic signals at the intersections of Philips Highway at Reba Avenue, and Philips Highway at Putnam Avenue
- Adding pedestrian signals and improved crosswalks at the intersections of Philips Highway at Reba Avenue, and Philips Highway at Putnam Avenue
- Directionalizing the intersections of Philips Highway at Reba Avenue, and Philips Highway at Putnam Avenue
- Adding a signalized crosswalk at the entrance Walmart entrance across from Clinton Avenue
- Sidewalk improvements
- Lighting improvements
Traffic will be maintained in accordance with FDOT standards. Lane closures on Philips Highway are restricted from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for southbound lanes and from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. for northbound lanes.
FDOT selected Traffic Control Devices Inc. to complete this project in Spring 2021, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting
