State Road 500 (U.S. 27A) Resurfacing Project in Levy County
Overview

Work is expected to begin January 27 on a project to resurface State Road 500 (U.S. 27A) from Northeast 8th Street to County Road 124 in Levy County.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing, base work, shoulder treatment, drainage improvements, highway signing and other incidental construction.

Preferred Materials, Inc. is expected to complete the $4.19 million project in summer 2020, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.

Most project work will occur during daytime hours Monday through Friday. Traffic will be maintained in accordance with FDOT standard plans throughout the project.
