State Road 115 (Southside Boulevard) at Gate Parkway Intersection Improvements
Overview

The Florida Department of Transportation is considering changes to the roadway, striping and medians at the intersection of Southside Boulevard (State Road 115) at Gate Parkway.

Proposed improvements include:

  • Adding a northbound and southbound auxiliary lane on Southside Boulevard between Butler Boulevard (S.R. 202) and Gate Parkway
  • Adding a third westbound to southbound left turn lane on Gate Parkway
  • Adding a second northbound to eastbound right turn lane on Southside Boulevard
  • Displacing/rerouting southbound to eastbound left turns from Southside Boulevard to Gate Parkway to a new signalized intersection approximately 500 feet south of Gate Parkway
  • Displacing/rerouting all approaching traffic from Gate Parkway West to a new signalized intersection approximately 500 feet south of Gate Parkway
  • Reducing the phasing and cycle length of the existing traffic signal at Southside Boulevard and Gate Parkway

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a public hearing regarding proposed changes to the roadway, striping and medians at the intersection of Southside Boulevard (S.R. 115) at Gate Parkway. Those interested can drop by anytime between 4 and 6 p.m. to learn more about the proposed changes and speak with FDOT staff and consultants. A formal public hearing will begin at 6 p.m.
