New Kings Road (U.S. 1) resurfacing from north of Dunn Avenue (S.R. 104) to the Nassau County line
Overview

The project includes removing and replacing the top layers of asphalt, drainage improvements, new pavement striping, new highway signage and guardrail upgrades.

Traffic will be maintained in accordance with FDOT design standards throughout the project. Drivers can expect periodic single lane closures during off-peak driving hours. Southbound lane closures will be prohibited from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Northbound lane closures will be prohibited from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. One lane in each direction will remain open at all times.

Hubbard Construction Company is expected to complete this $5.3 million improvement project in summer 2019, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
