Cargal Street and Atlantic Boulevard Traffic Signal Construction

Overview

Traffic signal construction is scheduled to begin July 14 on Southside Boulevard (State Road 115) at the intersections of Cargal Street and Atlantic Boulevard (State Road 10).

Construction for this project includes traffic signal updates, lighting work, highway signing and other incidental construction.

Construction can be expected during daytime hours Monday through Friday, with nighttime work occurring periodically.

Traffic will be maintained in accordance with FDOT design standards throughout the project. The existing posted speed will remain in effect throughout the project. Drivers can expect occasional lane closures on roadways during off-peak driving hours.

Lane closures are allowed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Sunday. Portable message signs will inform motorists of any important traffic changes throughout each construction phase.

Traffic Control Devices, Inc. will complete this $595,000 improvement project in early 2019, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
