State Road 20 Widening – East of US 301 to Putnam County line

Overview

Adding lanes and reconstructing two miles of State Road 20/Hawthorne Road in Hawthorne from east of US 301 to the Putnam County line. The $13.5 million project is scheduled to start in July 2017 and be complete in January 2019. David Weintraub of JEAces is the CEI, SEMA Construction, Inc. is the contractor and Joaquin Olivella is the FDOT Project Manager. This is the first of three segments of the State Road 20 widening project. All three segments span 12 miles of State Road 20 from Alachua to Putnam counties.
