Lane Avenue South of Lucente Drive Crosswalk
Overview

This project proposes a crosswalk on Lane Avenue (State Road 103) just south of Lucente Drive to increase safety for motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists, children and other vulnerable users of the corridor.

FDOT proposes the following improvements:

  • Addition of crosswalk
  • Addition of a concrete median to facilitate construction of the crosswalk

In-Person Public Meeting (Tuesday, October 13, 2026)
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a public meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, to discuss the proposed crosswalk on Lane Avenue (State Road 103) just south of Lucente Drive. Interested parties can attend the meeting in person in the FDOT Training Building located at 2198 Edison Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32204. FDOT staff and consultants will be available from 4:30 to 6 p.m. to answer questions and accept comments. A formal presentation and public comment period will begin at 6 p.m.
Virtual Public Meeting (Wednesday, October 14, 2026)

FDOT will host a virtual public meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026, online here to discuss the proposed crosswalk on Lane Avenue (State Road 103) just south of Lucente Drive. FDOT staff and consultants will be available from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. to answer questions and accept comments. A formal presentation and public comment period will begin at 5:30 p.m.
