Reid Street (U.S. 17) from the Memorial Bridge to State Road 19 and Crill Avenue from east of Osceola Street to south of Carr Street Access Changes
Overview

Milling and resurfacing on Reid Street (State Road 15) (U.S. 17) from the Memorial Bridge to State Road 19 and access changes on Crill Avenue (State Road 20) from east of Osceola Street to south of Carr Street began Monday, June 1, 2026.

The project includes milling and resurfacing, base work, shoulder treatment, drainage improvements, curb and gutters, traffic signals, highway signing, sidewalks/bicycle path, concrete pavement rehabilitation and other incidental construction.

Halifax Paving, Inc., was awarded the $6.3 million project.

Traffic will be maintained in accordance with FDOT design standards throughout the project. No lane closures are allowed on Reid Street from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. south of State Road 100. Work on Reid Street will typically occur at night, while work on Crill Avenue will occur during the day.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a hybrid access management public meeting Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend the hybrid access management public meeting in person at the Palatka City Hall Commissions Chamber located at 201 N. Second St., Palatka, FL 32177 or virtually by registering at the link below. Both virtual and in-person participants will be given equal opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the project directly from project team members.
