Proposed Intersection Improvements on Dunn Avenue (State Road 104) and Braddock Road
Overview

This project proposes improvements at the intersection of Dunn Avenue (State Road 104) and Braddock Road to increase safety for motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists, children and other vulnerable users of the corridor.

The FDOT proposes the following improvements:

  • Addition of traffic signal
  • Addition of left turn lanes on Dunn Avenue
  • Addition of left turn lanes on Braddock Road
  • Installation of marked crosswalks
  • Wider sidewalk for bicyclists and pedestrians on south side of Dunn Avenue

Virtual Public Meeting (Tuesday, January 13, 2026)
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a virtual public meeting Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, online here (webinar ID 757-182-507) to discuss proposed intersection improvements on Dunn Avenue (State Road 104) and Braddock Road. FDOT staff and consultants will be available from 4:30 to 6 p.m. to answer questions and accept comments. A formal hearing and public comment period will begin at 6 p.m.
In-Person Public Meeting (Wednesday, January 14, 2026)
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a public meeting Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026, to discuss proposed intersection improvements on Dunn Avenue (State Road 104) and Braddock Road. Citizens can attend the meeting in person at the Highlands Regional Library at 1826 Dunn Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32218. FDOT staff and consultants will be available from 4:30 to 6 p.m. to answer questions and accept comments. A formal hearing and public comment period will begin at 6 p.m.
