First Coast Expressway – East of CR 2209 to East of CR 16A
Overview

This segment of the First Coast Expressway consists of a new four-lane limited-access toll facility from east of the County Road 16A to east of County Road 2209 in St. Johns County. De Moya Group, Inc. was awarded the contract to construct this project, which includes milling and resurfacing, earthwork, subsoil excavation, base work, shoulder treatment, drainage improvements, curb and gutter, traffic signals, lighting, highway signing, guardrail, box culverts, bridges, MSE walls, sidewalks/bicycle path, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), tolling, and other incidental construction.

No lane closures will be permitted on County Road 2209 (St. Johns Parkway) from 7 to 9 a.m. No lane closures will be permitted on eastbound County Road 16A from 7 to 9 a.m. No lane closures will be permitted on westbound County Road 16A from 4 to 7 p.m.

Hybrid Construction Open House (Tuesday, December 10, 2024)

A hybrid construction open house will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024. Attendees will have the opportunity to view exhibits, ask questions and speak with members of the project team.
