Southwest 16th Avenue at the V.A. Hospital
Overview

To maintain safety and manage access, FDOT plans to close the existing semi-directionalized median opening at the current V.A. Hospital entrance. The modified median will allow only right turns out for westbound traffic and right turns in for eastbound traffic accessing the new V.A. Hospital driveway.

Vehicles exiting the new driveway that wish to travel east may make a U-turn at the signalized intersection approximately 500 feet to the west. Eastbound drivers may use this intersection to turn left or continue to the signalized intersection at Southwest 16th Street to make a U-turn. This construction will be funded by the developer at no cost to taxpayers.
