The Florida Department of Transportation is scheduled to resurface State Road 26 (Newberry Road) from west of County Road 241 South to west of I-75 in Alachua County. Improvements include milling and resurfacing, base work, drainage improvements, curb and gutters, traffic signals, highway signing, sidewalks, and other incidental construction.
FDOT selected Preferred Materials Inc. to complete this $11.5 million project. No westbound lane closures will be allowed between 7 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. and no eastbound lane closures will be allowed from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
