Overview

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) proposes resurfacing improvements to U.S. 27 from North of State Road 26 (W Newberry Road) to U.S. 441.

FDOT proposes the following improvements:

  • Roadway resurfacing with pavement marking upgrades
  • Removal of on-street parking to be replaced with bicycle lanes within Newberry

Hybrid Construction Open House & Public Meeting (Monday, April 28, 2025)

A hybrid construction open house and public meeting will be held Monday, April 28, 2025. Staff and consultants will be available from 4:30 to 6 p.m. to answer questions and accept comments related to the proposed improvements. A formal presentation and public comment period will begin at 6 p.m.

The in-person meeting will be held at the Newberry Branch: Alachua County Library District, 110 S Seaboard Dr, Newberry, FL 32669.
