Pedestrian Overpass Rehabilitation in Duval County
Overview

A project to rehabilitate three pedestrian overpasses in Duval County began Monday, Feb. 3, 2025.

Pedestrian overpass locations:

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway (State Road 115) north of Eighth Street
  • Atlantic Boulevard (State Road 10) east of I-95
  • I-95 at Glencarin Street

Scope of work for the project:

  • Cleaning and painting of all structural steel and bearings
  • Steel and concrete rehabilitation
  • Other incidental construction

The pedestrian overpasses will be closed intermittently throughout the duration of the project. Pedestrian overpass closure notifications will be provided accordingly.

Traffic will be maintained in accordance with FDOT design standards throughout the project. Work will typically occur nightly from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Seacoast, Inc. was awarded the contract for this $2.5 million project.
