The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) proposes median modifications to the existing median opening on U.S. 129/Ohio Avenue N (State Road 51) south of 72nd Trace in Live Oak, Florida. The existing median would be converted to a directional median opening, allowing northbound left turns only. Southbound left turns and left turns from a new driveway on the south side of the highway would be prohibited. This change aims to improve safety by limiting vehicles exiting the driveway to right turns only. Southbound drivers would be able to make U-turns at the next median opening. This project also proposes minor drainage improvements.

Public comments regarding the proposed median modifications will be accepted through August 15, 2024. Mail-in comments must be postmarked on or before August 15,2024.
