U.S. 1 (State Road 5) from Moultrie Creek Bridge to North of State Road 207 Improvements
Overview

This project begins north of the Moultrie Creek Bridge and ends north of the U.S. 1 (State Road 5) and State Road 207 intersection in St. Johns County and involves milling, resurfacing and other improvements to the 4.2-mile-long corridor. As part of this project, the existing median opening at U.S. 1 and Marion Street will be modified. The existing full median opening will be converted to a directional median opening allowing for only left turns for drivers heading south on U.S. 1.

A virtual construction open house and public meeting will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025. Staff and consultants will be available from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) to answer questions and accept comments related to the proposed improvements. A formal presentation and public comment period will begin at 6:00 p.m.

An in-person construction open house and public meeting will also be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the St. Johns County Public Library Main Branch, located at 1960 N. Ponce De Leon Blvd., St. Augustine, FL 32084. Staff and consultants will be available from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) to answer questions and accept comments related to the proposed improvements. A formal presentation and public comment period will begin at 6:00 p.m.

In-person and Virtual Public Meeting (Thursday, June 20, 2024)

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Two invites you to the Public Meeting to provide input on the proposed median modification at U.S. 1 and Marion Street. The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the proposed median modification and provide an opportunity for the public to provide feedback. There are multiple opportunities to participate in the project feedback, including a virtual/online option and an in-person option. All participants, regardless of the platform they choose, will receive the same information on the proposed project and all comments received in-person, virtually or electronically, will be given equal weight.
