U.S. 17 (State Road 15) from Oak Street to Black Creek Roadway Improvements
Overview

FDOT is proposing roadway improvements on U.S. 17 (State Road 15)from Oak Street to Black Creek to help eliminate long delays for northbound traffic on U.S. 17 (State Road 15). The proposed changes were designed alongside the City of Green Cove Springs as part of their Downtown Improvement Plan

Proposed Changes Include:

  • Extend the northbound left turn lane on U.S. 17 (State Road 15) and construct a traffic separator from north of Oak Street to Ferris Street (State Road 16). This would close the existing full access median between Cove Street and Bay Street.
  • Construct a traffic separator from Ferris Street (State Road 16) to Walnut Street and from Walnut Street to Center Street. This would close the existing full access median at Spring Street and Palmer Street and eliminate left turns onto Walnut Street from U.S. 17 (State Road 15).
