NW 8th Avenue (State Road 20) from 6th Street to Main Street Lane Repurposing
Overview
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and City of Gainesville proposes to repurpose lanes on NW 8th Avenue (State Road 20) between NW 6th Street and N Main Street in Gainesville, FL. The proposed changes include eliminating one westbound lane and one eastbound lane and adding 7-foot buffered bike lanes within the project limits.

Public Meeting (Tuesday, May 2, 2023)

The hybrid hearing will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at 302 NE 6th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32601 with an informal open house from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and a formal presentation beginning at 6 p.m. Citizens may also participate online at nflroads.com/VPH or by phone (415) 655-0060 access code: 470-896-211.
