U.S. 301 Truck Route (SR 223) Landscaping Project
Overview

Arazoza Brothers Corporation has been selected to complete this landscaping project along the State Road 223 (Alternate U.S. 301 Truck Route) from southbound U.S. 301 to northbound U.S. 301. The corridor project consists of landscaping and irrigation. Plantings are expected to include, but not limited to: Acer rubrum ‘Florida Flame’ (‘Florida Flame’ Red Maple), Ilex attenuate ‘Eagleston’ (Eagleston Holly), Quercus virginiana, Seedling (Seedling Live Oak), Sabal palmetto (Cabbage Palm), Taxodium distichum (Bald Cypress), Lagerstroemia indica, ‘Natchez’ (‘Natchez’ Crape Myrtle), Quercus virginiana, ‘Cathedral’ (Cathedral Live Oak), Juniperus virginiana (Southern Red Cedar), Pinus elliottii var. Densa (Slash Pine) and the Magnolia grandiflora, ‘D.D. Blanchard’ (D.D. Blanchard Southern Magnolia).

Traffic will be maintained in accordance with FDOT design standards throughout the project. Lane closures will not be allowed between 6 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. within 600 feet of a signalized intersection on SR 223. Lane closures will not be allowed between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. within 600 feet of a signalized intersection on U.S. 301.
