San Sebastian River Bridge replacement
Overview

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to replace the King Street Bridge over the San Sebastian River, beginning summer 2024. The proposed bridge will include two 11 ft. travel lanes, one 11 ft. turn lane, 10 ft. sidewalk on northside of bridge and 6 ft. sidewalk on the southside of the bridge. Upgraded aesthetic lighting and bridge rail will also be installed as part of this project. A detour will be necessary for the during of the project while crews complete demolition work and build the replacement bridge.

Hybrid Construction Open House (Tuesday, July 16, 2024)

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a hybrid construction open house on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 4:30 – 6 p.m. The public is invited to attend the open house in-person at the St. Augustine City Hall, Alcazar Room located at 75 King Street, St. Augustine, FL 32084, virtually by registering at the link below or by phone at (415) 930-5321 and entering access code 141-980-401. Both virtual and in-person participants will be given equal opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the intersection modification project directly from project team members.

The meeting will take place in-person at the First United Methodist Church of St. Augustine located at 118 King Street, St. Augustine, FL 32084 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. with a public comment period at 6:00 p.m. Department personnel will be at the meeting to assist you in reviewing the maps and to answer any questions you may have.

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.
