Main Street (U.S. 17) from State Street to Trout River Roadway Improvements
Overview

Hubbard Construction Co was chosen to complete this project which consists of resurfacing, drainage improvements, curbs and gutter work, traffic signal and lighting upgrades, highway signing, guardrails, sidewalks/bicycle path improvements, landscape work, and other incidental construction on North Main Street (US 17) in Duval County from State Street to the Trout River and from East 15th Street to West 17th Street.

Traffic will be maintained in accordance with FDOT design standards throughout the project. No lane closures will be allowed within 600 feet of a signalized intersection between the hours of 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. No double lane closures will be allowed from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Within school zones on school days, no lane closures are allowed from 1 hour before school begins to 30 minutes after school ends.

Access Management Public Meeting (Thursday, March 10, 2022)

The meeting will take place both virtually and in-person at the FDOT Urban Office Training Center located at 2198 Edison Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32204. It will begin with an open house from 4:30 to 6 p.m., followed by a public comment period at 6 p.m.

Project documents and virtual participation instructions are available at www.nflroads.com/VPH. To register for the meeting, go to https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/7288147330373958670. Participants who are unable to attend the webinar virtually or in-person may listen to the meeting by calling (631) 992-3221 and entering access code 415-025-044. All participants, regardless of the platform they choose, will be able to view project documents, ask questions and make comments for the public record.

Attendees who complete a speaker’s card will have the opportunity to make an oral statement that will become part of the public record. Persons wishing to submit written statements or other exhibits in place of or in addition to oral statements may do so at the meeting or by sending them to FDOT Project Manager Richard Prindiville at Richard.Prindiville@dot.state.fl.us or via traditional mail to 2198 Edison Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32204. Exhibits or statements postmarked on or before March 20, 2022 will become part of the public record.
