Rise Gainesville 34th Street is a proposed development at 3611 SW 34th Street that includes 227 dwelling units. Rise Gainesville proposes an access connection to an existing full access median opening that does not meet current spacing requirements. To meet FDOT spacing requirements, the median opening will be modified to a directional median opening (allowing northbound and southbound 34th Street left turns but restricting left turns from Ridgemar Commons and the shopping plaza on the west side of 34th Street). This modification will provide a safer movement by directing drivers to turn right and make a U-turn at the next median opening.

FDOT is seeking input from property owners who may be impacted by the proposed changes.
