I-295 East Beltway landscaping project from UNF to SR 9B
Overview

The current proposal for this landscaping project includes plantings of various species of Florida-friendly vegetation, installation of temporary irrigation and other incidental work relating to the overall landscape for the corridor.

The project has been developed through District Two’s FDOTree program, an initiative designed to engage and inform the public while providing aesthetic and sustainable solutions to the Florida Department of Transportation’s Northeast Florida landscaping program. Hybrid Public Meeting (Thursday, September 23, 2021)

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a public meeting inviting citizen input and questions regarding a planned landscaping project on I-295 between the University of North Florida and State Road 9B interchanges. The hybrid public meeting will be held September 23 at the FDOT Urban Office Training Center located at 2198 Edison Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32204. Citizens may drop by anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. to learn more about the scope of the project, offer input and view conceptual renderings of the project. No formal presentation will be given as part of the meeting.
