State Road 134 (Timuquana Road) from Wesconnett Boulevard to U.S. 17 Resurfacing
Overview

This FDOT resurfacing project will improve safety, increase mobility and rehabilitate 2.6 miles of Timuquana Road (State Road 134) from Wesconnett Boulevard to U.S. 17 (Roosevelt Boulevard) by removing and replacing the top layers of asphalt, adding 7’ buffered bicycle lanes throughout the length of the project and improve safety by closing the median opening at Water Oak lane. Resurfacing involves removing and replacing the top layers of asphalt and is expected to extend the life of the roadway up to 20 years. Other items of construction include: drainage improvements, sidewalk and curb improvements, new highway signage, and signal upgrades throughout the project limits.

Traffic will be maintained in accordance with FDOT design standards throughout the project. Drivers can expect single-lane closures during off-peak hours seven days a week. One lane in each direction will remain open at all times.

FDOT selected Duval Asphalt Products to complete this $9.7 million dollar project by fall 2023, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
