San Juan Avenue (State Road 128) Mid-Block Pedestrian Crossing Median Modifications
Overview
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) proposes closing a portion of the median on San Juan Avenue (State Road 128) in order to complete work on a Mid-Block Pedestrian Crossing with Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) near the Noble House Assisted Living Facility. A 2017 FDOT traffic study concluded this is an area with high pedestrian traffic and a mid-block crossing was recommended to improve pedestrian safety.
