The Florida Department of Transportation is proposing to construct a new road in St Johns County assigned as State Road 312 in three separate segments. The first and southern segment of the ultimate State Road 312 will extend four miles from State Road 207 to State Road 16. This segment is currently in the Right of Way and design phase and not funded and scheduled for construction. The second and northern segment, will extend five miles from State Road 16 to U.S. 1. This segment is still in the Right of Way phase and not funded and scheduled for construction. The portion north of Woodlawn Road to U.S. 1 is part of the Cordova Palms development plan.
The third segment currently funded and scheduled for construction located in the southern portion will extend one mile from State Road 207 to Holmes Boulevard. This one mile portion will be constructed as a two-lane rural roadway with an at grade connection at Holmes Boulevard. All Right of Way has been acquired for this portion.
