The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) began resurfacing project on Interstate 10 in Suwannee County in October 2020.
Work on the $8.8 million, approximately six-mile project, will take place between the Madison County line at the Suwannee River and U.S. 90. FDOT has hired Anderson Columbia Co., Inc., of Lake City, to handle construction activities.
In addition to milling and resurfacing, the project will include some drainage improvements, along with other incidental construction.
Motorists should expect some daytime, weekday lane closures; however, no lane closures are allowed between 6 a.m. Friday and 7 p.m. Sunday to better accommodate increased traffic.
