Construction of a new bridge on Heckscher Drive (SR-A1A/SR 105) over Myrtle Creek began in late August 2020. This bridge will feature two 12-foot travel lanes, 10-foot shoulders on both sides of the roadway, and a 10-foot paved multi-use trail on the east side. Superior Construction is the contractor for the $4.9 million project.
Traffic has been reduced to one way over the bridge and north and south of the construction zone. Temporary, video-monitored traffic signals have been installed to direct cars and bicyclists safely through the work zone.
