Landscaping on Kingsley and Park Avenues
Overview

Work started in July 2016 on a landscaping project on Kingsley (SR 224) and Park (U.S. 17) Avenues in Orange Park.

Workers will plant new landscaping on both roadways. Lane closures are scheduled daily Monday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Kingsley Avenue and from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Park Avenue.

The Kingsley Avenue work extends from Bellair Boulevard to Park Avenue and the Park Avenue work extends from Milwaukee Avenue to the Duval/Clay County line. Work includes, but is not limited to, landscaping, irrigation, electrical, lighting and retention pond work.

FDOT hired Oasis Landscaping to build the project for $3.9 million. Work should be completed in spring 2017, weather permitting. The contractor will remain responsible for any landscaping during a two-year establishment period. The contract is for 270 days.
