To increase public awareness of highway safety and the Target Zero Initiative, the Florida Department of Transportation has developed a virtual Memorial Marker Program to ensure the safety of motorists while memorializing loved ones who have died because of a vehicle-related crash on the State Highway System. The virtual Memorial Marker Program allows family members to personalize the marker(s) with a selection of five designs, the opportunity to link a photo and/or obituary of their loved one(s) and be included on the FDOT Memorial Marker Wall featured on the official Florida Department of Transportation website. The FDOT virtual Memorial Marker Program allows you to safely memorialize your loved one(s) and share the marker(s) link with loved ones near and far.

Requests for virtual Memorial Markers may be made by family members. Memorial Markers must be renewed online annually to remain on the Florida Department of Transportation website. Once the submission has been approved and processed, you will receive notification that the memorial marker has been published on the Florida Department of Transportation website.
