State Road 211 Riverside Avenue and Margaret Street traffic signal updates
Overview

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) began work on an intersection and traffic signal improvement project at Riverside Avenue (State Road 211) and Margaret Street on October 12, 2020. Improvements will include replacing overhead traffic signal span wires with mast arms, upgrading pedestrian signal poles featuring countdown timers, installing new illuminated historic street signs, sidewalk and curb repair work and roadway striping.

Lane closures and overnight detours will be necessary to complete certain work items. Business and residential access will be maintained at all times.

Pedestrians are encouraged to follow the signed detours in place while sidewalk and curb work are underway.

American Lighting and Signalization, Inc. is scheduled to complete the $363,000 project by early 2021, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.

Stay informed about lane closures and roadwork in your area by following FDOT District 2 at @MyFDOT_NEFL on Twitter or at MyFDOTNEFL on Facebook.
