The Florida Department of Transportation began a resurfacing project on State Road 200/U.S. 301 from the railroad overpass to Stratton Road in Callahan Monday, March 4. This work will include removing asphalt and resurfacing the roadway, working on curbs, gutters and sidewalks, as well as updating traffic signals and highway signage. Duval Asphalt was selected for this $1.6 million project. The contractor will perform daytime work Monday through Friday. Paving work will occur overnight Sunday through Thursday nights. No lane closures will be permitted Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Lane closures are not permitted on school days one hour before classes begin and one hour after students are released.
